Frequently asked questions?
-
No. Many people start coaching with a sense that something could feel better, easier, or more energising — but they’re not quite sure what needs to change. Part of the process is creating the space to explore that and find clarity.
-
Absolutely. Coaching isn’t only for when something is wrong. Many people use coaching to better understand themselves, make thoughtful choices, use their strengths more intentionally, and create more of what energises them.
-
No. Coaching is about you as a whole person — not just one role or part of your life. While it can support career decisions, leadership, and professional growth, it can also help during times of change, uncertainty, or when you’re wanting to reconnect with what matters most.
People come to coaching for many reasons — to gain clarity, build confidence, understand themselves better, navigate decisions, use their strengths more intentionally, or create more energy and direction in their everyday life.
-
Coaching sessions are conversations with purpose. We explore what’s happening for you, what matters most, and what might help you move forward. Depending on your goals, we may use strengths-based tools, reflection activities, or practical strategies — but the focus is always on creating insights and actions that feel meaningful and realistic for you.
-
Rather than starting with what’s missing or needs fixing, strengths-based coaching starts by understanding what gives you energy, motivates you, and helps you perform at your best. From there, we build practical, sustainable ways forward.

I am accredited to use the Skills Discovery tool by Cappfinity, it is often a great starting point for my clients. I also use other evidence-based tools and positive psychology approaches to support reflection and insight. But they’re not a one-size-fit-all formula. We’ll use what is helpful, meaningful and practical for you.
-
Cappfinity’s Skills Discovery Tool is an evidence-based assessment that helps you understand your strengths — what energises you, what comes naturally, and how you can use these strengths more intentionally. As an accredited practitioner, I guide you through your results and help you turn these insights into practical actions for work, life and personal growth.
-
No. Coaching is different from therapy. While we may explore experiences, patterns, and what has shaped how you approach things, coaching is focused on where you are now, what matters to you, and the steps you want to take moving forward.
-
Both are possible. Some people start with a Skills Discovery debrief or a short coaching package, while others choose ongoing support. We’ll talk about what best fits where you are and what you’re hoping to achieve.
-
Yes. I work with teams, schools, organisations, and community groups through coaching, workshops, and facilitation — applying the same strengths-based principles to help people work, connect, and grow together.
